Feb. 24, 2012 CID Language Workshop
Tools and Techniques for Assessing and Teaching Language workshop at CID - Central Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis, MO, Friday, February 24, 2012, 8:15 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
This intermediate level course is designed to provide the tools and techniques to assess and teach spoken language to children with hearing impairment 3 to 12 years old. Course includes lectures, interactive activities, analysis of language samples* and classroom observations.
This workshop is designed for teachers and speech-language pathologists with some experience working with children who are deaf and hard of hearing learning to use spoken language. This is not a beginner workshop.
* Each participant should bring a language sample of at least 50 utterances from a child in his or her program.
ASHA and LSLS credit are available. See below.
Completed application and payment are required. Course is limited to 20 participants.
